Scientists have found a way to preserve foam for a long time

The foam formed in the beverage determines the quality of the foam. It is believed that the beverage in which the foam remains for a long time is as high as its sales, but how does this foam remain stable in beverages? Until now, it’s been a puzzle that American researchers claim to have solved. Researchers say that this study may help to improve detergent (surf) foaming in washing machines where the expected foaming does not occur. A group of scientists, including Richard Campbell of Manchester University in the USA, studied a mixture containing a compound called a surfactant that reduces the surface tension of fluids. The study mentions a new way of understanding compounds. The study has been published in a journal called Chemical Communication and can help to create better foam for fluid manufacturers.

Researchers put neutron rays on the fluids used to produce foam as a study. One of the researchers, Campbell, said, “When we see light reflected by a luminous object, our brain helps to identify it by its presence.” Similarly, when a neutron is reflected by a fluid, we can find important information about its surface with the help of a computer. The difference is that this information is only at the molecular level that we can not see with our eyes.’

Sales of products will increase

Discovered new ways
According to the researchers, when they try to understand the nature of lathers made from liquids with only one additive, the information on more additive fluids (which are used in the original product) remains misleading. He studied the foaming process or the formation of bubbles in these mixtures, known as foam films, by reflecting neutrons from their fluid samples. Using this principle, scientists have discovered a new way of maintaining the stability of foam films in the same way that the additive settles on the surface of the bubble. He studied how the process gave the bubble stability to avoid bursting. Researchers say that with the help of this study, producers will be able to present their products to consumers in a better way.
