US first Hindu MP Tulsi Gabbard has sued former foreign minister Hillary Clinton for defamation. Gabbard has demanded a compensation of 50 million dollars from Hillary to tarnish her image. The Democrat MP alleged that Hillary tarnished her reputation by saying that she was Russia’s choice in the 2020 presidential election. Gabbard is in the race for candidacy from the opposition Democratic Party in the upcoming presidential election in the US in November. Hillary was the Democratic Party nominee in the 2016 presidential election and lost to Republican nominee Donald Trump.
The defamation suit was filed in a New York court on Wednesday. Gabard, a member of the US House of Representatives in the lower house of parliament, told his supporters, “Hillary’s intention to call me Russian property is to tarnish my image and derail my campaign for the presidency.” Hillary, 72, said in an interview last October without naming Gabbard, “The Republican Party is preparing a Democratic contender as a third-party candidate.” He likes Russians.’
Old differences in Tulsi-Hillary
The differences between 38-year-old Indian MP Tulsi Gabbard and Hillary Clinton are not new. In the 2016 Democratic Party primary election, Gabbard supported Senator Bernie Sanders, replacing Hillary.
